The Riddle:
A house is twice as old as its septic system was when the house was as old as its septic system is. Their combined age is 49 years. How many times should its septic system have been pumped?
Now for the hint and the good news.
The hint is that, given full capacity and average use, a house's septic system should be pumped once every three years.
The good news is that real life smart septic practice is much easier than solving this riddle!
